This problem may be covered under warranty. Ask your Chevrolet dealer.
Wish there was a class action I could join as lifters shouldn't fail in 81000 miles. $4100 is a fair amount of money for me. I will be thinking twice before I would purchase a Chevy.

Same guy with 2011 Silverado that had to replace all lifters on left side of engine. Back when I first owned the truck the #6 cylinder was not deactivating. This is the engine that switches from 4 to 8 cylinders when driving under different conditions. Had to remove the intake manifold and test all solonoids.
Fast forward to 2017 and the engine really had problems. Again with the oil manifold.
I have posted that in another rant. I truly was concerned way back there...but no money out of my pocket. Little did I think I would have a similar problem later.
