I just want people to be aware of this problem - if they have a Chevy Silverado, have it checked out and pay attention to all recalls. I have contacted Chevrolet but have not heard back from them. I will keep you updated as things progress. I would like to add, we had no previous problems with this truck, no warning signs whatsoever - if I wouldn't have walked outside to throw the trash, I wouldn't have known the truck was on fire until it was too late, there was a 450 gallon diesel fuel tank close by and who knows what could have happened?
