frame rusting frame rusting frame rusting frame rusting frame rusting frame rusting

We were once again investigating a brake problem. We realized the underside of the truck rusting was getting worse. We took it back to the dealer. They informed us that rust is normal for General Motors. I told them it was ridiclous to pay this much for a brand new truck and it is rusting into a junk pile. The dealership told me it was because I took it through a car wash or pressure washed it. GM didn't consider this a warranty item.

While we were trying to determine why our brakes was making such a loud noise, we were looking under the truck. We realized the frame was rusting. We definately didn't want a new truck frame rusting. We live in the south so we do not have bad winters. We took it to the dealer. They said it was normal. I told them maybe to them, but it wasn't normal to me. I didn't want my truck rusting to pieces.

The truck frame is rusting more and more as we own it. We first noticed it at 4000 miles. It now has 13000 miles. The previous dealer that we took the truck to on the first 2 times said it was normal. It happens if we pressure wash or go through a car wash. We took it to the a different dealer the 3rd time. He said Chevy will not warrant it. He said the only way to fix it is to hire a company that does frame coating. Chevy no longer coats their frames. I shouldn't have to pay to have the entire frame coated on a brand new truck. As much as we pay for these trucks, we shouldn't be going through so much on a new truck.
