State inspection my truck failed due to gasoline rusted and leaking gas, rear shackles rusted thru, parking break won't hold corrosion. I have never had so many rusted out parts on my truck before, the gas line should not rust thru this is a safety issue. Shackles rusted thru what gives my old 88 never had any of these problem please do a recall.

I had just driven 15 miles to on the expressway, I stopped at a store for a couple of minutes. When I went back to the truck, I didn't see the fluid under it, but got in and started the truck. At that time I was accelerating slowly to pull out of a parking spot. About that time a pedestrian stepped off the curb in front of me. I hit the break and it went to the floor! I missed the pedestrian and coasted to the end of the parking lot where I tried to apply the emergency break, that also failed! a concrete curb allowed me to stop the vehicle without incident. I had the vehicle towed to 2 garages before I could find one to repair it at a cost of just under $900.

Lost most of my braking as a result of heavy rust on brake lines and other brake parts. Mechanic said this was way more rust than there should of been in these areas.

Brake lines and fuel lines must be replaced due to excessive rusting. Blew a brake line and had no brakes at all. Additionally, the frame has rusted through and had to be welded. Looking at repair costs between $1500 - $3000 depending upon how this goes.

2002 Chevrolet Silverado 1500, 4 wheel drive Z71 off road, 58420 miles, was stopped with foot depressed on brake pedal, felt pedal go all the way to the floor. Had to accelerate and had no brakes. Brake fluid leak due to rusted brake line. After further inspection all brake lines, fuel lines, ehcu brake line connection are all rusted. Brake line is in the process of being replaced but at a stand still at the moment due to a leak at the ehcu connection due to pitting, there isn't a tight connection. Still in the process of repairs. Have all parts.

Automatic transmission failed at 58000 miles. This truck was never used for towing. The reverse went out backing out the garage. Also, the vent and vapor sensor for the fuel tank failed. I was told there have been many updates for the transmission.

: the contact stated while driving at no particular speed, the engine ran rough. The vehicle was taken to an independent repair shop for inspection and the mechanic determined the fuel injectors were blocked. The injectors were changed; however, the problem persisted. The vehicle was taken back to the repair shop where the injectors were cleaned. Again, the problem was apparent and the vehicle was taken back to the mechanic. During the last inspection, the mechanic determined the fuel lines were corroded due to road salt corrosion. The fuel lines were replaced and the problem was corrected.

Many of the problems took several times in the shop to fix. The castrophic failures in the engine & transmission have never been fixed. The truck has lunging, dead spots & surges & the transmission clunks (shifts hard, jerky) the auto may or may not accelerate on demand & will later accelerate when you need to apply the brakes.
- Ridgecrest, CA, USA
The truck has a fuel leak that caused the oil pressure to go down. There's a recall for the CNG fuel leakage 03V435000 but the VIN number is outside the remedy scope.
