The contact owns a 2013 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. Once the defroster was activated, it failed to defrost the passenger side of the windshield blocking the contact's visibility. The failure recurred multiple times. The vehicle was taken to a dealer for diagnostic testing. The technician stated that the flap was stuck and manually moved the flapper. The failure recurred, but the vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 2,000. MA 10/19/15 the consumer stated the passenger side cold and the driver side was normal. However, after adjusting the temperature several times, it would resume normal operation after 5-10 minutes.
