Just bought the truck, first day or two drove slow no issues. Once I got comfortable driving around 65-70 mpg I start to get a vibration and shaking to the point it feels not safe at all. I looked up on the internet and tons of people are having this problem. Truck is brand new truck.

This vehicle has a vibration that is felt thru out the steering wheel, floor pan and accelerator pedal. It causes the middle console to shake/vibrate. This has been an ongoing issue that I believe will cause catastrophic failure in the vehicle at a later date. The dealership offered to let me trade it in on another vehicle at my full expense, and states that my vehicle is acting as designed. GM refuses to address the problem.

Since I purchased this vehicle is has had a vibration from 5-20, 40-50, and 68-78. It has been in the service department 4 times for this problem alone with no resolution. General Motors understands their is an issue with this model truck but does not have a solution. The vibration is felt in the seat, the gas pedal, the steering wheel and the rest of the truck. Tires were indexed, rotated, and balanced, along with the drive line specifications inspected and were found within normal limits even thought vibration persists. Other issues I have had were the exhaust squeaking noises when transferring from V8/V4 mode, in which the entire exhaust system was replaced, water leaking from the sunroof and windshield, frame coating peeling off causing the frame to rust, the seat frame shifting, moving and clicking when turning the vehicle, hd radio loses signal intermittently, radio and HVAC knobs were not lit, headlights were misaligned from the factory, and 4 other recalls such as, overheated exhaust components, unwanted transfer case shift to neutral, peek in odometer display incorrect, and transmission oil cooler connections possibly being bad. This vehicle currently has 6500 miles and has been in the service department a total of 30 days so far.

I bought this truck brand new on February 13, 2014 with approximately 33 miles on the odometer. On April 23, 2014, I noticed that the black wax coating on the frame was peeling off and rust was developing in several locations. I am currently in the process of trying to get this repaired through the dealership that I purchased the truck from. In the mean time I've been inspecting other 2014 Silverado on dealership lots and I noticed rust developing on those frames in various locations as well. After consulting with a dealership service department, I have found out that there is a service bulletin out regarding this problem. In my opinion though a brand new truck should not be rusting like this and I have serious concerns regarding the long term quality and safety of this vehicle as a result.

The rear window of my 2014 ltz double cab reflects the climatic control panel lights back to the rear view mirror during night driving. The reflection is a severe distraction during night time driving, especially when no one is immediately behind you with their lights on. GM is aware of problem and is doing nothing about it. I've had the dealership (lotspeich in warrensburg, mo 64093) in contact with GM. GM direction is to turn down the instrument panel lights, that would be off, to reduce/eliminate reflection. This is a manufacturing/design issue causing, what I believe to be, a safety concern. To keep this reflection from distracting me I turn my mirror down, shifting the reflection, problem is I know can't see out of the rear view mirror.
