A lifelong fan of Chevy, I have always bought the newest body style of both the Silverado and the Corvette as they become available, generally being one of the first off the line. I have never had a problem with my cars/trucks. However, my new Silverado is a POS.

The first time I engaged the 4WD it made a terrible whining noise. As I have had many Silverados with 4WD that have NEVER made a noise like this (very loud hum)... I took it in to the dealer. He said that's what trucks sound like. I then took it to a second Chevy dealer who admitted it was very loud, but said he drove another one earlier that week that was loud as well and couldn't find anything wrong per say... it was just annoying. I think that is unacceptable in itself.
