Engine suddenly began to run real rough. Lifter went thru engine putting metal shavings into engine. This should not have been the experience on our 1st brand new vehicle bought and kept very well maintained. GM strong family but have to say this is a disappointment.
Due to condition of the truck, only safe option is engine replacement. A very costly expense to have to endure!

2014 Chevy Silverado engine blew up at 9000 miles, AC shuts off when it feels like it, driver seat swivels. GM TOLD ME THEY WOULD GIVE ME TRADE ASSISTANCE ON A 2015 TAHOE. THEN THEY LIED TO ME AND TOLD ME TOUGH LUCK, I WAS ON MY OWN. GM MAIN OFFICE IS A JOKE, NO HELP AT ALL. THEY DON'T DETROIT RAT'S BUTT ABOUT THE CONSUMER

2014 Silverado LTZ. First off truck was 4 years old and paint started peeling off roof and doors. GM did nothing said out of warranty. Second 100,000 miles transmission went out. No longer warranty so had to pay to put one in. Had the fuel injectors replaced 3 times, once when transmission went out it had a miss also that just started. Then a few months later the fuel pump exploded internally GM said and had to replace all injectors, fuel pump and all fuel lines were full of shavings. Got all of that replaced and then now several months later the lifters broke and destroyed the engine. All this on a well serviced truck by GM. So now had to pay 10K for a brand new engine and 8 more injectors because the old ones were no longer good they said. My Dumbass mistake for keeping on fixing a truck that I now have twice as much in it than it’s worth. Stay away from the 2014-2018 Silverados at all cost.
