problem #1

Silverado 1500 LX 3.2L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 92,000 miles

Took for trans service and the 4 recalls, and within a couple of days the transmission started squealing and not shifting correctly. So I took it back to the dealership and they got it covered by GM and BG Transmissions who did the service. Went to pick it up after 3 weeks of Capital Chevrolet in Wake Forest NC having it, and they charged me $451.15 on a problem that never existed in this truck before they did the trans service. The girl said it was imminent damage and that the trans was going out anyway.

I was furious, still am, and told her it was what coincidental that it just happened to go out AFTER they did the service, she stated that the trans was going to go out anyway, I told her that was BS, and asked of there were problems with 2014 trans and she said no, I said you know problems like the condenser I had to replace because Chevy is stupid and put a plastic one in on the 2014's, that cost me over $500 to fix. I NEVER, not once, had a problem out of this truck, EVER!

She swears there is no problem with the transmission and since it is 7 months out of 100K or 5 year warranty I had to pay the balance. I guess they think I am stupid but I know cars and probably know more than half the techs in the garage and definitely more than the service writers... Never have we done a trans service on a vehicle first time, and now reading all the complaints I guess it is a problem, I have printed these complaints and when I go back up there later to get my truck I will be leaving them on her desk highlighted...

I'm calling GM in the morning - I don't believe this is our fault, there are MULTIPLE internal components damaged 4-5-6 housing, havey hot spotting on the pressure sensor in the tcm, LOW LINE PRESSURE DUE TO PUMP DAMAGE. And they replaced over 20 parts in the trans to rebuild it, over $5K worth of problems, but NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO there is no problems with Chevy transmissions at all. Ya'll are crazy, my husband is a Chevy guy, had them for years, but now we are rethinking this... why do they think we don't know anything???
