Silverado 1500 LT V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 95,000 miles

About a year ago I realized the transmission started vibrating or shaking. And when I would make the change in gear, the truck felt like it would pull and a bang was heard. When I'm braking to make a stop you can also hear a bang or like if something was hitting it. And lately I've had the problem that it wont turn on like if it had no gasoline. I've taken it to a mechanic for the shaking problem and again for the problem that won't turn on and I've spent money and it still has the same issues. I've spent about $2,500. They have changed the gas tank and I guess it wasn't the issue since it still has the problems. They have changed other things and nothing.

Silverado 1500 LT 3.2L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 12,000 miles

I purchased my vehicle @ Pat Obrien Chevy South (Medina, Ohio) December 2015 with 11,600 miles. I didn't notice any vibrations until about a month later on turnpike approx75mph. Violent shaking. I noticed driving a little under 70mph it eased up to almost none. I took to PO for oil change and mentioned it. "It's suppose to do that"

I continued to notice the vibrations and took to another Chevy dealer and they didn't notice vibration and I made an appointment with PO and asked for a tech to ride along. He noticed vibrations right away. Ended up changing tire, rear shocks and did some tightening in the engine. Most vibration was gone but they even noted that it was still there. It vibrates at speeds between 25-30...35-40...45-50...55-60 etc.

I took back in to see what could be done. Even just have them buy it back. General Manager at dealership said that I need to get recalls taken care of first but would work with me when they were. Said that it was "Unsellable" at the time. I had recalls fixed and went back in. They offered me 22k. ($7000 less than I purchased it 8 months earlier) The GM said that I was "grasping at straws" They would do nothing for me. I need help getting this fixed or a FAIR trade in value!
