The contact owns a 2014 Chevrolet Silverado 1500.the contact stated while his wife was driving 25 mph with the rear defroster on there were flames seen from the window and it exploded. The driver extinguished the fire. There were no reported injuries. The window was covered with cardboard and duct tape. The vehicle was taken to capital Chevrolet (9820 capital blvd, wake forest, nc 27587(919) 261-3786) but was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was contacted however, no further assistance was provided. The failure mileage was 120,000.
