Yesterday afternoon my car started shuttering at about 30-45 mph. Once while rounding a corner the transmission did slip. Then it slipped again in our neighborhood. It's been parked since. I had a 2000 Silverado with $187K miles that didn't start having transmission issues until about $160K but we towed a lot with it. I cannot believe that my 2016 that has only 107,500 miles on it is having transmission issues or torque converter issues. Automakers have such poor craftsmanship and no regard for anything quality made.

Coming home from a day trip, heard a weird sound, and took it to dealer next day. They pulled transmission stick and found shavings throughout. Never mentioned that this is an issue with this model vehicle. I took it to a mechanic for a second opinion. I was advised to look up on this site, this is not the first transmission/torque converter replacement they have done on Chevy vehicles. Dealer never mentioned issues with torque converter.

I had work done at the reputable dealer for $6800. It did not have an extended warranty. Pissed dealer was not forthcoming with this issue and did not mention the need for torque converter to be replaced. Had it in less than a week prior for normal routine checkup and oil change. No mention of any issues at that time. This happened unexpectedly with no warning lights, signs, etc. Very costly issue for people on Social Security retirement. It's the only vehicle we have, and take good care of it. 76,600 miles in 6 years!
