Just purchased this truck a year. It was only 4 years old with 80,000 miles on it. $33,000 truck that looks worse then my 25 year old car. Dealership will not help nobody will do anything about it but they still want my damn car payment. This is such a major problem and that act as it's normal, ya maybe for a 30 year old car but not a new 55,000$ truck. All these cars are sh*t anymore.

My 2017 Chevy Silverado High Country paint on both of rear doors are flaking. Truck is too Expensive for this to happen> I am seriously annoyed.

I purchased this vehicle brand new in 2017. It’s a High Country Silverado. My paint started peeling back in 2020 and I took it to the dealer. They informed me that it was a manufacturing problem and to contact the company. The paint is not a normal peeling, it’s like there was something else in the paint and over the years it started getting worse. It’s bubbly in some spots and it’s just peeling in others. My wife is an employee of General Motors and talking to other co-workers they are having the same problem. Now I see there is a class action lawsuit filed in Florida asking GM to recall and repaint the damaged vehicle. Haven’t heard anything as of today. But the truck is so nice, I would like to have it repaired. The dealer didn’t want to touch it. I hope the recall comes soon or they can just replace my truck.

Have contacted dealer. Nothing they can do. They gave me a form saying that GM would kick in $125 for repair. GM will not do anything - I've contacted them and spoke to multiple people. No one wants to do anything. They do like to apologize though. Truck is not even 4 years old and already needs to be repainted because Chevrolet cannot get it right.

There has to be more trucks out there with this issue, it peeled off down to the metal. This truck has been babied and waxed a ton.

Paint comes of all over the truck. Bumper, hood, roof, fenders, doors, inside the doors.

If you do a simple Google search on a Chevy Silverado paint blistering and chipping you will see a boat load of unhappy Chevy owners complaining about it. I called Chevy customer service and they said there is no recall. COMEPLETE BS! GM should do the right thing and issue a recall and fix this problem. I personally and I’m sure many others will never buy another GM vehicle if they don’t do the right thing.
