The front driver's speed sensor, wire kit, and connector kit were replaced; however, the failure recurred. The vehicle was then taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed with vacuum pump failure and the vacuum pump was replaced. The failure recurred and the vehicle was taken to Jim Butler Linn Chevrolet Service (317 Main St, Linn, MO 65051) where it was diagnosed that the transmission was faulty, and the torque converter needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and advised the contact to replace the faulty parts with OEM parts. The failure mileage was approximately 126,000. The consumer had an accident due to brakes locking up and not able to get the transmission fixed.
