We have a 2017 Chevy Silverado 55,883 miles On 9/27/22 we took truck in for oil change. Dealership states our truck -??both upper control arms have play-?? Repairs total cost $1246 We are 65 years old, we do not go off reading. We feel like this issue is caused by insufficient welds in a recall, but our truck is not on recall list.

The contact owns a 2017 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. The contact stated that there was an abnormal sound coming from the vehicle while driving up an incline at slow speeds. There was no warning light illuminated. The contact took the vehicle to coulter Buick GMC tempe (7780 S autoplex loop, tempe, AZ 85284) where the manufacturer was informed of the issue and a factory representative was sent out to inspect the vehicle. The factory representative then informed him that there were no found issues with the vehicle. The contact then took the vehicle to jerry seiner Chevrolet (1990 N pinal ave, casa grande, AZ 85122) where the contact pointed out that there was wearing on the front two tires that he believed was related to the suspension. The vehicle remained in the possession of the dealer. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The vehicle was not yet repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 1,700.

I bought my 2017 Chevrolet Silverado on October 2017. Not even one month after purchased I had to bring back the vehicle due to loud clunking noises and jerking. I had to bring the truck in at least 3-4 times a year due to the same problem.

The truck has a hard time accelerating and randomly upshifts and downshifts. When coming to a stop it has a hard time downshifting which makes it hard to stop. When on the interstate in rush hour traffic it is very dangerous to drive because I have no idea if the truck will accelerate or not and since it has a hard time stopping I am afraid I am going to rear end someone. Another issue the truck has is with the four wheel drive. It works good but it makes a really loud grinding noise when engaged. I am taking it to the dealer today as I have before. I am hoping they take a serious look at it and fix the issues.

Vibration in the rest end. Had tires rotated and still a vibration. Complained to General Motors only to be told that it is within their specs. They know there is an issue with the 2015-2017 Silverado and nothing being done. Makes it uncomfortable to drive on long trips is at all speeds while driving and negotiating bends in the highway. Noticed when I purchase and drove off the lot purchased in November 2017 continued

The contact owns a 2017 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. While driving 45 mph, the lower control arm fractured, which caused the front passenger wheel to become detached. As a result, the vehicle crashed into a guardrail. The driver's side air bag deployed. A police report was filed. There were no injuries sustained. The vehicle was towed to bennett Chevrolet in egg harbor township, New Jersey, but was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The contact received a recall notification for NHTSA campaign number: 16V256000 (suspension) a few days after the crash. The VIN was invalid. The failure mileage was 3,200.

I purchased a new (175 miles) 2017 Chevrolet Silverado ls 4X4 from a dealership on 2/10/2017. I noticed the ride was a bit bumpy on the 80 mile ride home from the dealership, but thought nothing of it. The next time I drove it was 2 weeks later (I was on business travel in between and let the truck sit in my garage), and I drove it around town on 2/25/2017. In addition to a minor rough idle, it was very bumpy. It would shake at virtually all speeds. After my 5 minute drive from the grocery store, I literally felt dizzy and ill. The next morning on 2/26/2018, I drove it to work (25 miles), and experienced the same feelings of motion sickness. I am a certified auto technician with nearly 20 years experience, and have worked on all components of cars and trucks (engine repair / overhaul, transmission, suspension, brakes, electrical, heating / ac, etc.). I've worked on trucks spanning a wide range of years with various issues and mileages (low mileage to +250,000 miles). I have never felt a more uncomfortable ride in a truck in my years of test driving vehicles (before and after repair) than I have with this new 2017 Silverado. I attempted to contact landers mclarty Chevrolet in huntsville, al, and was told that this safety concern could not be addressed at their dealership until the truck had at least 500 miles. I informed them of my concerns about driving it until then as I have under 400 miles on it, and they told me to drive 80 miles to the dealership where I bought it to have it looked at. Unbelievable! after much research, this "motion sickness" issue is a known issue by General Motors, and does not have a proven documented fix in place to this day.

Just bought a new 2017 black edition. Reg cab short bed. 5.3. shakes from new over 73+ mph. Took it to dealer at 648 miles on 01/19/2018. Purchased new 12/28/2017. They rebalanced all 4 wheels. Still shakes. They put a new driveshaft in and said it was fixed. I picked it up today. Nope. It's worse. Now it begins shake no at 60 and at 74-75 has a pretty dramatic shake. This happens while driving on the interstate. Now I go back again Monday to let them have another go at it.this is a brand new truck.

Transmission on my new 2016 Z71 lt 4X4 jumps into low gear when slowing down. I took it to the dealership multiple times, but keep getting told it shifts fine. I took it again and had a manager drive the truck with me inside and agreed the transmission was not gettin into gear in a normal way. Toon it back to get it fixed and was told transmission is fine. I need this fixed or I will be returning he truck as a lemon title.
