I was driving down the interstate stuck in slow moving traffic going 55 in a 70 in Jacksonville, FL. The Chevy suddenly lit up like a dang Christmas tree, parking brake service, check engine light, lane assist, and EVAC all flashing on the screen. Everytime I hit clear it like a new warning popped up. It started to drive super rough as in bumpy, loud and hesitant. I parked it, turned it off. Waited maybe an hour since I went to class, then came back to start it. Issue was still there. I took it to the dealership who seemed more interested in buying it than repairing it, they said it could be a number of things and estimated 10k even though they couldn-??t tell me exactly what was wrong. They knew, they just wouldn-??t say. Anywho, $100 later for a wacky diagnosis, I left to take the truck to an actual mechanic, who stated the lifters failed which caused a bent rod, which then damaged the cam shaft. We had just bought the truck outright for 27k three months prior and only driven it 1,500 miles. It was estimated to be anywhere between 12-15k to fix. Which we didn-??t have that money and personal loans are too high so we traded it in and took a loss of 17k while being thankful that no one was injured driving this thing. The truck didn-??t even have 80,000 miles yet. It was at 75,000 or 76,000. Truck engines shouldn-??t fail that soon or fail at all and this is a common safety issue with this truck. If you have time, google the main issues for this truck and you-??ll see several posts about people complaining about their truck doing the same and having to do a computer deletion to get the engine to function correctly to prevent this issue.

This truck has very low miles (22,900) and has broken down on me 4 different times over several years. It will randomly slam into 2nd gear and I will almost loose control as the rear wheels will almost lock up. Then the vehicle will barely move even at WOT. This has caused me to almost be in accidents and is very unsafe. GM knows there is several issues with this 8 speed transmission and cannot resolve it. I am afraid to be in an accident because this thing is so unreliable in it's operation. GM needs to be forced to address this issue. There are multiple TSBs on this transmission that claim to be collecting data and investigating the cause of issues dating back to 2020. Time for a repair!

I noticed up on start up a warning light comes on & display says brake system failure 62 MPH then goes away. I have been reading numerous other reviews online that they are experiencing the same issue. 2nd problem is when I bought the vehicle I noticed numerous oil spots on the tailgate, I asked a GM representative & they said it was road grime, but I noticed the rear pinon is leaking, so it's been leaking since I bought the truck & the dealership either doesn't know it's a known issue or they didn't want to come out & say it.

The contact owns a 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. The contact stated while driving 60 MPH, the vehicle jerked and briefly lost motive power before slamming into gear. The check engine warning light was displayed on the instrument panel. The vehicle returned to normal functionally, but the failure became a regular occurrence. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who diagnosed a failure with the transmission. The vehicle was not repaired and remained at the dealer. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure, and the contact was referred to the NHTSA Hotline for assistance. The contact stated that weeks before the failure the oil pump was replaced. The failure mileage was approximately 108,000.

While driving on the highway with my four year old with me the truck jerked and then triggered 3 lights on my dashboard, this made getting to a safe spot uneasy as it was jerking and sounded like it was reving up and down and overall sounded not good. Truck was towed to mechanic and was discovered the lifter failed due to the Active Fuel Management (AFM) or Dynamic Fuel Management (DFM) in that engine model. That failure caused further engine damage to the cam shaft and needs an entire rebuild of the top part of the engine. There were no other indicators that this would happen until it did. I contacted Chevy and they are aware of the situation and offered "cost assistance" only if it was brought to a GM dealership. Given the engine had to be taken apart to figure out what was wrong they said the only way to get assistance was to have the garage put it back together and then tow it there and have their mechanics look at it to determine if they could cover part of it. This isn't a viable option to me seeing how there isn't a guarantee of any assistance and would potentially cost more long term.

I purchased this vehicle after my first 2019 chevrolet silverado trail boss's BCM dealined the vehicle after owning it 32 days. The vehicle with VIN [XXX] has had multiple engine failures causing the vehicle to be deadlined at the dealership for in excess of sixty days. The transmission is now failing as well. I am on my 2nd engine failure issue and the dealership refuses to acknowledge the problem. While under engine failure my vehicle would misfire causing the engine to stall and buck around like a wild horse. The electrical system on this vehicle is a complete catastrophe. The windows refuse to roll up once in the down position more often than not, the tailgate intermittently drops and closes on its own, the notifications on the dash always indicate the tailgate is down even when it is in the upright position, the lane change assist and parking detection intermittently work causing faulty detection when backing in/out of parking and changing lanes on the highway endangering the public, and all while these issues persist the "check engine" light never illuminates. Even when my truck had to be towed into the dealership the check engine light never came on. I have had this vehicle sine 43000 miles and now have 115000 miles and every oil change i have done(I am a shop owner and technician) has had metal shavings in the drained oil that has got past the filter due to the IMPROPER engine repair done by BEAVER CHEVROLET when my engine failed the last time. It is best practice to drain all the oil, remove engine from vehicle and replace the oil pump and pickup after cleaning the engine internally while disassembled to ensure no metal contaminants are inside the engine. Chevrolet simply replaces the broken components and doesn't do the proper procedure when an internal component fails, call any machine shop in any city across america and ask what the procedure is when a camshaft or bearing fails in a motor is. It is 100% not what chevrolet did for me. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (

I own a 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 LT Trail Boss that exhibits strange and persistent issues. A recurring engine code appears P0499, clears itself, and then reappears without consistent resolution. This affects the remote starter as the engine light will be engaged. Additionally, several service warnings flash momentarily and disappear, including: -??Service Trailer Brake System -??Brake System Failure -?" Top Speed Limited to 62 or 43 MPH -??Parking Sensor Unavailable These warnings occur without warning and vanish too quickly to document fully. Despite multiple visits to the dealership, technicians have been unable to replicate or resolve the problem. This unpredictable behavior creates safety concerns, particularly regarding brake system reliability and sensor functionality. I and many others experiencing these same issues are concerned about a potential electrical or sensor issue impacting vehicle performance and safety.

My truck is at Hubler Cevrolet in Greenwood, IN with engine oil cooler lines leaking at 40,000 miles. GM Customer satisfaction program for some vin numbers expired in 2023 (N212326940). My vin was identified as being ineligible. Upon my own further research these trucks are known to have issues with leaking or rupturing oil cooler lines leading to catastrophic engine failure. I suspect that the manufacturer of the previously covered lines is the same although the part application number may be different. The manufacturer produced a defective oil cooler line that is previously know to fail especially in cold climates. I am Indianapolis, IN where temperatures have been below 0 at times and is frequently below freezing during winter. My lines starting leaking after the first freeze, about 4 weeks ago. I closely monitored the oil level until I was able to take it to the dealer for further inspection, it always remained above half on the dipstick. I wrongly assumed that the leak was from an overtightened oil drain screw from the previous oil change. I had my oil changed at XpressPro a few days before I took my truck to the dealer because their technician identified the leak was from the oil cooler lines. The tech at Xpresspro showed me a video he took on his personal cell phone showing the oil covering the engine oil cooler lines. The dealer is quoting 1400 for the repairs and they are not covered by powertrain warranty even though the engine would seize if they ruptured while driving. I reached out to GM customer service and spoke with Kaylee she advised me to contact Hubler to inquire about cost assistance and use my case number she gave for reference (XXX). I beleive this should be covered by a recall as it could have ruptured while driving causing the engine to lock and stop all forward momentum. They sold me a vehicle at the dealer. Three days after I bought it, I had to buy tires for it. Because they were in bad condition, they also charged me for a liquid called 3m nitro and I don't understand why they put it in if the tires were in bad condition, and they also promised to fix some details on the bumper and details on the paint on the body of the truck, and the transmission has already started to fail, and they don't want to help me or take responsibility. The truck still has a Dealer warranty.
