What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request" The ECU/Power train failed/ Yes the vehicle is available for inspection. The vehicle's check engine light & traction light came on & the dash displayed multiple warning messages including reduced engine power & service ECS. How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? I was traveling on the Interstate at 65 MPH in traffic in the far left passing lane. Engine power was reduced & I had to safely navigate the vehicle through traffic & multiple lanes to safely get the vehicle to the shoulder of the interstate & avoid causing any accidents. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? Yes, the problem was confirmed by my local Chevrolet dealer. Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? It was inspected by my local Chevrolet dealer. Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear" No there was not. The issue was attributed to a known manufacturing flaw on my vehicle. The wiring harness to the ECU was chaffed caused by rubbing on the frame, ECU bracket and/or A arm which in turn caused the issue. GM published a repair bulletin on this issue as well as the NHTSA.

I am experiencing the exact details of N192272400 Rear Wheels Lock At Low Speed but for some reason my VIN isn-??t associated with the recall! This is highly dangerous. It could cause a serious accident seen that I live on a main road. I don-??t know where the vehicle locks up the rear brakes if I go over 5 miles an hour at random times. I believe 100% that it is exactly what is described in that recall which is a defective TCM that has a short circuit. Another issue that I have with his truck out of nowhere is a short circuit in my rear defroster that was sparking and smoking when I used it.

Bought my truck with 29,000 miles on it. Was making a noise in rear tire. Took it in and it was the break calilper. Dealership wanted $1500 to replace it a week after I bought it. Stated that it was not covered. After a week of arguing, they did not charge me for it. Around 40,000 miles, every once in a while, it would feel like I was being rear ended when I came to a stop. It was not often, but around 55,000 miles, was more frequent. I took it to the dealershp at 62,000 miles and they said that it was a torque converter and would not be covered. Fixed it at a shop $2700. Lifter and Cam in the UP of michigan $5000. Oil lines at 110,000 $700. Torque converter again at 130000, and now lifter and camshaft again at 145,000 miles. I feel that GM should back their product. I had a 95 Chevy Silverado that I sold with 360,000 miles and never had any issues except fot transmission at 250,000 which is expected. I have all receipts showing proof

What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request" The 8-speed automatic transmission is experiencing a persistent shudder during normal driving conditions. The problem appears to stem from a failing torque converter and possibly the valve body, as diagnosed by a GM dealership. The dealership also found metal debris in the transmission fluid, indicating internal damage. The vehicle is currently available for inspection upon request. How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? The transmission shudder causes the vehicle to hesitate and lurch unexpectedly, especially during acceleration or gear shifts at highway speeds. This creates unpredictable vehicle behavior that could result in a loss of control, especially when merging, changing lanes, or driving in heavy traffic. It presents a significant safety concern for both the driver and others on the road. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? Yes, the problem has been confirmed by a GM dealership. They recommended replacing the torque converter and valve body due to internal damage and fluid contamination. Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? Yes, the vehicle has been inspected and diagnosed by a GM-authorized dealership. It has not been inspected by police or insurance representatives. Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear" No warning lamps or dashboard messages appeared. The issue began with a noticeable shuddering and harsh shifting during normal driving, which gradually worsened. Symptoms include rough gear changes, hesitation, and vibration, most noticeable between 25-?"55 mph under light acceleration. These symptoms began approximately 2 months ago and have become more frequent.

Since I have owned this vehicle I have experienced erratic shifting, primarily when driving in traffic, and when the vehicle is downshifting to 1st or 2nd gear. It has occasionally occurred when traveling on the highway during an upshift, but this is rare. I have also experienced lurching when stopped, or creeping forward in anticipation of a turn. I can occur at any time, and under any type of conditions, hot or cold. It also has a tendency to shift harshly when shifting from park to reverse or from reverse to drive. I have expressed my concerns with my dealer, and it appears they are aware of the problem, and have told me that GM is also aware of the issue, but they dismiss it by way of saying it is normal. I have had the transmission fluid changed at the regular interval, but this has not cured the problem. Finally, GM is well aware of this issue, and is subject to class action lawsuit regarding these transmissions, and other owners have stated that they too have experienced this shifting issue. My concern is that this will eventually lead to a failure of the transmission and the drive components i.e., drive shaft, pinon gear, differential housing, anything connected to the transmission. If this failure occurs at highway speeds, a possible loss of control and crash could occur.

Truck has been making a clunking sound for over a year and has gotten worse. Recently took to Jim-??s Transmission to have transmission evaluated. Have been told that transmission needs to have a rebuild or new transmission $4500-6000. The truck has just over 67000 miles on it. Understand that there are class action suits regarding Gm being aware of the flaw in the transmissions. I have contacted both Chevy dealer and GM via certified letter and GM via email, and received no response regarding a goodwill repair.

I was driving on the highway at a speed of around 65 miles an hour and I heard a loud noise and the truck did a hard jerk and slowed down abruptly I then had to struggle to get over to the shoulder as cars around me were moving at high speeds then I found out that it was the lifters that failed and I started doing research on this problem and it seems to be a problem that a lot of people are having with these trucks as well as transmission issues which I was having before this happened

Oil coolant line detached from the crimp. GM customer satisfaction program N212326940 is exactly what has happened and GM states it is not associated to my VIN so they can't (won't) do anything about it, even though the bulletin clearly indicates 2019 Silverado 1500 (new model). This occured as I was on the interstate. I pulled over as soon as the warning came up telling me to turn the vehicle off. I had to wait on the side of the interstate for several hours for a tow to a local mechanic shop. The mechanic diagnosed the issue and took photos and described the issue in writing. Prior to the incident there was no vehicle warning light that there was an issue, nor did I receive a letter warning of the issue. This catastrophic failure of the coolant line ejected oil, coating the undercarriage and passenger running board. The program bulletin states: Condition: Certain 2019 model year Chevrolet Silverado 1500 (New Model) and GMC Sierra 1500 (New Model) vehicles, may have a condition in which the engine oil cooler (EOC) lines may leak and detach from the crimp joints. Exposure to cold temperature may also aggravate this condition. If the EOC lines leak, there may be an oil leak on the ground and if the EOC lines detach while operating the vehicle, there will be an immediate decrease in oil pressure. This will coincide with a warning on the driver information center display (-??Oil Pressure Low Turn Vehicle Off-??), along with warning chimes. If the customer continues to operate the vehicle, a loss of propulsion is possible. Correction: Dealers are to replace the engine oil cooler lines, oil, oil filter and refill the coolant.

I was passing a line of vehicles when a semi started over into my lane. I hit the gas, to avoid being hit by the truck. When I did warning light on my vehicle appeared on the display. I lost speed and immediately heard a loud knocking from the engine. I was on an open 4 lane highway and knew there was a dealer close by. I drove to the dealership, I left the vehicle running so they could hear it. The service tech told me they had seen "several" vehicles in with the same problem with the 5.3L. I left the vehicle there and was given a loaner. They told me the lifter had gone bad when I sped up quickly, and the camshaft was damaged. Further research by me has discovered a lot of vehicles have this same issue due to the active fuel management system. I chose not to pay Chevrolet $7000 to fix the engine, and currently have it in a private shop being repaired. A less experienced driver may have slammed on the brakes or swerved and caused a major accident. My vehicle did slow down on its own, but I was able to keep control and safely maneuver to the right lane.
