Trailer brake service indication comes on constantly and cannot see speed use the radio or make a call. Already have changed the switch that they say is the problem, did not fix issues. Other mechanics on the internet are saying it's a wire harness between the switch and the module this needs to be replaced due to poor quality. We'll have a professional mechanic assess this but it looks like it's a common problem across the board. Please get GM to issue a recall on this because it becomes a safety issue, distraction and not able to read speed. Thanks

Rear Window Defroster Thermal Events. Using the rear windows defroster you can hear arching and smell electrical parting making bad or lose contact. I have found other truck from the same year, doing the same thing. NHTSA has a letter from the other truck and suvs in that range. But some how this truck is not on the list for recall.

The contact owns a 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. The contact stated while driving 50 MPH, the vehicle lost motive power and stalled. The contact stated that the check engine warning light was illuminated. The contact was able to restart the vehicle and continue driving to his destination. The contact took the vehicle to the local dealer, where it was diagnosed with needing an unstated wiring harness to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer had been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 52,000.

The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the transmission was intermittently failing to shift between gears with the check engine warning light illuminated. The contact became aware of TSB 21-NA-149 (Engine Wire Harness Chafing). The vehicle was taken to a local dealer, where it was diagnosed that the engine wiring harness needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 58,800.

Vehicle would stall unexpectedly while driving. Had to pull over (coast to stop) and disconnect battery in order to get pickup running again. Dealership eventually found broken/corroded wires in main power harness to ECM. Appears to be related to GM service bulletin 21-NA-149.

So far it hasn't happened with Auto-Stop off, so it's an assumption that this is part of the issue. We come to a stop, the engine powers down (Auto-Stop) but all battery-powered features remain on. When we go to accelerate, everything completely loses power. It has taken up to 5 minutes to power back up. When this occurs, all we can do is open the door if it's unlocked - there is zero power to any part of the vehicle and there are no noises coming from anywhere. The vehicle is available for inspection on request. > How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk" - The vehicle loses all power. We cannot turn on hazard lights, brake lights to alert others in traffic that we're unable to move or start the vehicle. If there was a need to move the vehicle quickly, we would not be able to do so. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? - No, they're never able to reproduce the issue despite reporting it at least twice on service visits. Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? - It has been inspected by the dealer. Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear" - Not before it happens, but after the vehicle finally starts up, the dashboard message indicates we should roll the driver's window down and back up again. The date of the incident is the last reported instance.

The screen will switch from maps that you are following by itself to the radio, home page or just freeze. The radio can-??t be controlled, the Wi-Fi and satellite systems switch on and off at random. There-??s many complaints listed on the internet about the issue. GM wants $675 to replace the system on a 4 year old vehicle.

2019 Chevy Silverado RST turbo. 46K miles. Truck would feel like it skipped a gear a few times for a few months; I chalked it up to needing a new air filter. Had that and the oil changed. Ran normal for about 3 weeks. Check engine light came on and began flashing, service esc and service parking brake lights came on. Truck would vibrate while at an idle. Truck would not get up and go and when it go to 30mph, it would violently shake and stutter. Changed the 4 spark plugs, with number 4 being the worst, then 1, then 2 and 3. Mind you, the truck only has 46K miles. Got them replaced, removed the negative battery terminal to reset the codes and now the heat isn't working.

When shifting to park and shut truck off a shift to park warning comes on dash and you can shut engine off or lock door if you try the horn starts honking. I took it to dealer they had it for 2 days said it showed no costs nor could they get it to happen so they say. It dose it almost every time you shut it off. Backup camera turned blue, not allowing me to view if a child is behind my truck. This is a safety issue because a child could be killed because you cannot see them. I have found out that this is an issue with allot of gm trucks/cars. But gm does not see this as an issue enough to put out a recall!

Lost all power steering and brake pedal did not work properly. Could not steer vehicle at all even using both hands on steering wheel. I shut off the truck, turned it back on and "service power steering" light came on the dashboard. Steering did not work at all so I shut it off. Called dealer to report problem and left a message to call me back.( I did not hear back from the dealer.) After a short period of time, I restarted the truck and the service light was still on, but the steering and brakes were working so I drove it home. I took it to the dealership on Sept 5th to explain what happened. They pulled up 8 codes from the truck and made me an appt for sept 8th. They informed me that there was a wire chafing problem with this particular truck, but upon inspection on the 8th, they said they could not find a bad wire. They told me to drive it until it happens again! Not being able to steer or brake are DEFINITELY SAFETY issues !

I have a 2019 Chevy Silverado 1500 that has been well taken care of. I got into my truck and went to start it and a bunch of warning lights appeared stating brake system failure, service ESC, traction control off and 4WD off. The check engine light also came on with multiple other warning lights. I had a family member jump my truck and I was able to make it home. I hooked it up to my code reader and it showed- P25A2 Brake System Control Module 1. This has been a known issue and has been recalled twice for about 550,000 of the 2019 Silverado 1500, but my VIN isn-??t included, even though it-??s clearly having the same issue. The fix is to have the brake system reprogrammed by the dealership. Since my VIN isn-??t listed I-??m not getting any help with the issue.
