There is definitely a major issue with the lifters and camshaft so why won’t gm just do a recall on these

Silverado 1500 LT 5.3

Started throwing codes for "Service Parking Brake" and "Service ESC" and engine light cam on. Started running rough and making popping noises. Took to dealership immediately, They said lifters and camshaft had to be replaced. $8000 to fix. Will never buy another one. Also has the typical transmission issues that are common.
