Silverado 1500 8-cyl

After performing the latest recalls the check engine light illuminated with a P25A2 code. I did not notice any change in the vehicle handling or performance. After I took the vehicle to the dealership for service they told me that they couldn't find an error code, only the P25A2 code which is to illuminate the check engine light. I believe it was the brake system that triggered the light if I recall what the service technician told me correctly. Additionally, at idle speed, especially while turning the steering wheel the vehicle seems to lung forward at times creating the risk of a potential front end collision.

When using the backup camera at night, it goes into full brightness blinding myself and all passengers. I cannot use the mirrors to back up my trailer because it is extremely overwhelming. I have covered it with a T-shirt so that I can actually see. There needs to be a way to turn it off but I cannot(literally tried every short of removing the fuse. Happens every time I drive so I am putting my purchase date.

The transmission shifting from 1st to second gear has about a 5 second delay and then is a rough shift into 2nd. Only happens when the vehicle is cold from sitting for a long period like over night. After the one hard shift it doesn't do it the rest of the day. Done it since purchasing it in Sept 2019. It's like it lags after you wake it up and hasn't had its coffee yet. Does not matter if I back down my driveway first and then into drive. The first shift of 1st to 2nd has a lag and its rough into 2nd.

Rear back up camera quit working. The center monitor read "service rear view camera". tried turning the motor off and on numerous times but still would not work. Parked the truck in the garage that night and when I tried it the next day it was working again. Called the dealer and informed them but was told they hadn't heard of the problem. Happened in a parking lot initially.

Silverado 1500

I get into the vehicle while at my storage unit facility and within seconds turn the vehicle on by pressing the button on the dashboard. I immediately put the car in reverse. Three seconds after I am moving in reverse instrument panel starts flashing warning messages such as no speed over 62 mph, electronic brake systems something, service engine light came on and stayed on, and once again I was without brakes! I was not going fast, nor in traffic, but the fact remains I had no brakes, again! this issue was 'fixed' two months earlier in another recall for the brakes. This is not the first time I lost the ability to brake, but this will be the last time. This vehicle needs to be recalled in its entirety, I mean taken off the streets. It's not just the drivers of the truck who are in danger, other drivers, pedestrians, bicyclists are also in danger. A fatality is imminent but I ask the NHTSA how many fatalities before this dangerous vehicle is taken off the road? every safety device on this vehicle has been recalled: Airbags, seatbelt, and brake systems. This vehicle is not safe. The number of people who have lost the ability to brake are far greater than what is reported here. Please don't expect GM to fix this issue when they don't even know the cause behind the problem to begin with! first it was onstar, now it is the company they hired to create their computerized brakes. Computers having so much control over vehicles, I'm learning, is not safe. Please contact me for more information. I'm more than happy to share my terrifying experiences with anyone who can help my fellow americans and myself!

I bought a new 2019 Chevy Silverado at the end of 2019. The backup camera flickers and cuts out. I took it to the dealership and was told there is no solution for it. This cannot be the right answer. I have small children and with a large truck I depend on the camera working. Also with parking I have come close to damaging the truck.

An intermittent electrical connection between the B+ battery cable and the alternator could cause the vehicle to stall. The intermittent connection could also lead to arcing, which could generate sufficient heat to damage surrounding material and increase the risk of a fire. GM recall #: N192273510. The problem is even though they claimed they fix it. Record shows that the recall still incomplete. If the driver is unaware that ESC and ABS are not functioning, there may be increased risk of a crash. GM recall #: N192268090 NHTSA recall 19V889 involved a software error that could cause the vehicle's ESC and ABS telltale lamps to fail to illuminate in certain circumstances. If a driver were unaware that ESC and ABS were not functioning, there may be increased risk of a crash. GM recall #: N192268091. As I mentioned it, the record shows these recalls are incomplete. They gave me the truck back on 02/21/2020 after about a month they claimed they repaired it.

Back up camera is fuzzy at night and is very dangerous to use when backing up. Using it at night has resulted in almost being in an accident on two occasions. I took it to the Chevrolet dealer today and they said it needed no repair at this time and it met GM specs. It has been this way since I bought the truck and does it every time you back up at night.

Service rear vision system and blue screen for backup camera and camera system on truck has been intermittently not working since purchased on 5/18/19. Have had the truck to the dealer twice to fix. First time replaced rear camera. Issue returned next day. Second time, dealer pointed to a tsp that indicated the system was busy when first starting the vehicle and to allow for extra time to place vehicle in reverse. Issue is not related to placing the car in gear, it only shows the issue. Issue appears to be a software issue in which the system doesn't get booted up in a timely manner. After some time, has been random from 2-3 minutes to over 30 minutes, the system will eventually come online and work properly. The issue I have is many of my trips are just a few minutes up the road to my firehouse I volunteer at. The truck doesn't have enough time to completely boot up the camera system and I'm left with a blue screen with no way to reset it or use the cameras. I've contacted the dealership service manager and Chevrolet and Chevrolet initially called back wanting me to contact the dealership. The service manager said he would investigate the issue and call me back to schedule a fix. No word in over 1 month now. I see on several forums other users struggling with the same issue and so far there seems to be no fix. I'm not sure GM knows what the issue is at this point. There seems to be no way to alert them and get the right people working on the issue. Hoping this venue will be able to wake someone up at GM. Issue is consistently random. Sometimes it loads quicker than other times, but is consistent in not wanting to work when needed.

Rear backup camera screen gets fuzzy with several white lines across mainly during night driving. Very poor visibility for a brand new truck/camera. Good visibility is critical for backing up in a crowded parking lot at night. Critical safety issue!! took it to my local dealer 12/30/19 during the day, and was told they could not get it to replicate the issue, however did know about the issue with other vehicles. No resolution was given, said to come back when it did it again.

Repeated attempts by jones Chevy, sumter SC, they have not identified the vibration problems with my new vehicle. 22+ days in repair, multiple visits, and GM classifies harsh vibration as "normal characteristic" and closed the case, saying its final. I have contacted GM CEO with certified letter, discussed with exec. Customer support team, and posted on social media to find any solution. GM customer service is the worse I have ever experienced. So far dealer has conducted transmission drain and flush per a tsb, changed torque converter, evaluated vibration with pico scope, and problem still exists and persist. Now today it's back at dealer for a prop shaft swap, from a new truck. My vehicle now has 6K miles, and problem started at 5K after the drain and flush. GM says the vibration is normal because of the dfm, dynamic fuel mgmt. System. I say bs. They are wrong, and no vehicle should vibrate at low or high speed to the point you feel it through the seat, steering column, steering wheel and harmonic distortion in the cab. GM knows what the problem is, they just don't want to admit. Next step, arbritration" any feedback is much appreciated to solve this vibration issue. GM - do the right thing and issue a recall before someone gets hurt. Remember the ignition problem" this problem isn't going away.
