Rear view camera cuts out intermittently when brakes are applied while backing up. Rear view camera is very fuzzy at night and is difficult to see. This is a safety concern due to visibility.

Ongoing communication between local dealer and Chevy/GM executive support team to fix shudder/vibration is not resolved. Chevy states "normal characteristic" for this model vehicle, 2019 Silverado 5.3, 8 speed. I vehemently disagree. GM approved torque converts swap and then problem got much worse. They now say, resolution is final, this in normal! pleaded with dealership general mgr, to contact district supervisors to re-evaluate. Now they are going to run pico test and comparative analysis against 2 new truck on their lot. My truck only has 6K miles and should shake and vibrate, but it does and getting worse. Harmonic distortion within cab getting worse. Seems the more miles I put on it, the worse it gets. After drain and flush of transmission, per tsb, now also had delayed shifting, and having to brake hard when downshifting because it wants to lurch forward. Frustrating at best, but safety and risk of injury are my immediate concern. Need help!

Brand new truck an the back up camera flashes flickers, is terrible to see, backing up.GM says its normal. Not normal especially when the catalog says camera is hd 7", never seen a back up camera be able to flash and flicker when the lights are actuated brakes are on. Means there is a draw in the system. There is tinterference with it and the electrical system. I also have the traction control relay clicking everytime the traction control comes on. Have had three vehicles and never heard that to be normal. Head lights are so dim the cars behind me brighten the road. These lights dont even light the refelctors on the road. But apparently normal you can put led in, but have to pay for it. Just keep driving and cant see where your going until you get hurt. Also add led and void your warranty.

The rear backup camera is faulty. Randomly will get a blue screen (backup camera being inoperable) that says to "service rear vision system". research online, says there is no current fix for this issue. I only have 600 miles on a brand new truck.

Backup camera at night blurry and shines eye very hard to see to backup

The backup camera screen is at full brightness at night in the pitch dark making for this issue. If you are looking in your side rear view mirrors to backup and look to the right one, passing the screen, you are blinded by the brightness of the screen. This, in my opinion, is very dangerous. This issue is also present in other 2019 trucks.

The rear view camera is absolutely blinding in low light conditions /at night. Also the screen is glitchy at best. The screen constantly cuts out and the picture distorts when applying the brakes. Compared to cameras and screens on other vehicle of lesser quality and less money this camera is absolutely unacceptable. A $52K truck should have a camera /infotainment screen of better quality than this. This technology has been out long enough to have hd quality as a standard feature. GM should make this right or I'm sure there will be a lot of new Ford customers in the coming years.

The backup camera system is essentially unusable at night when reversing. The image quality is fuzzy at best and cuts in and out with horizontal lines flashing through it. On top of the fact that it is a fuzzy image, it is so bright, it is unbearable to look at, it's basically white-washed.

The backup camera is useless at night, I already took it to the dealer and they told me that it was normal for the trim of the truck

2019 Chevy 1500 trail boss double cab: The backup camera cuts in and out when you apply pressure to the brakes. This could cause issues when you rely on this and then the camera cuts off and boom... you hit something/someone because the backup camera cuts off.

Automatic transmission and brake pressure problems. The automation transmission jerks when accelerating from zero miles per hour or at low speeds. It can dramatically increase the rate of an incident due to the powerful movement that the movement does to the whole truck. You can then feel the whole truck sway back and fourth due to the impact. This "jerking" from the start can increase the risk of hitting anything in front of you because of it not being controlled properly when moving in close proximity areas such as high volume traffic areas, high counts of pedestrians walking across the street, parallel parking, and parking close to another car in front of you or any other type of object in front of you. The brake applications take an extreme amount of pressure to stop the vehicle at all given times. My truck is brand new and purchased on 9/18/2019.

With only 500 miles on the truck/engine oil pressure has been dropping drastically while going from drive to idle. It drops frim 60 to under 30. Also battery power gauge drops well below 14 when originally was over 14. This also began at the same time oil pressure issues began.

I was driving on the highway for approximately 1 hour/75 miles. I pulled over to clean out my truck. I parked in a vacant parking lot. The truck's engine was running, the vehicle was in park. It was parked at the top of a hill. I got out of the drivers compartment, and walked around behind to the passenger's side, and cleaned out some trash. I then walked back around to the rear drivers side door, and removed more trash. I walked about 15-25 feet away, to put the trash in the garbage can. The truck made a weird 'chirp-chirp-chirp' alarm/electrical type noise, and then drove backwards. The reverse lights were on. I ran after the truck, the drivers door was locked. I pushed the unlock button on the door and hopped up on the running board. I opened the drivers door and jumped in, and slammed on the brakes. I stopped the truck, literally one foot from going over an 8 foot concrete embankment. I am really terrified by what happened. It was in park. It has that new system where the keys stay in your pocket and everything is push button (start, unlock) the vehicle's column shifter was still in park when I stopped the truck. Photos: 1.) this is the hill, and space I was parked in. 2.) these are my tire tracks, my trucks tires hit that sheet metal, and you can see the approximate 8 foot drop with the dumpsters. 3.) this shows the concrete speed bump thing that my truck backed over when it was rolling out of control this should not have been mechanically possible. If it was in park it can't happen (theoretically) if it was in reverse, it would have backed up immediately after letting my foot off the brake. If it had been in neutral, it would have drifted backwards immediately due to the grade of the hill. If it had been in drive or low, it would have moved forward, or stayed still.

The chrome surrounding the air vents can reflect the sun in a manner that blinds the driver. This has happened to me on multiple occasions when driving North in the afternoon. It forces me to look away from the road, and causes imprinting in my vision, which reduces my ability to see when driving.

This vehicle is a brand new 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 trail boss. This truck has the 4.3L V6. The first time backing up in my driveway I noticed the backup camera flickered everytime I touched the brake pedal. I repeated backing up several times and at one point the backup camera flickered and went off (screen went blank/black with a message "service rear vision system". when the backup camera came back on the guidelines for backing up had disappeared. I was unable to get the guidelines back on the screen until I changed the shifter to drive or park then back into reverse. This has happened multiple times. The backup camera screen repeatedly flickers and intermittently will go blank with a loss of guidelines. I contacted Chevrolet and brought the vehicle back to the dealer service department on 4/1/19. Their report was that the system did in fact flicker and the screen shut off momentarily however stated it is "normal" for these vehicle. They gave me a 2019 Silverado loaner with the same accessory package and that camera did the same thing. The dealer noted that they tested multiple similar model vehicles and they all performed the same way. The dealer mentioned it occurring on the model with the smaller display screen and that this issue was not occurring with the larger display screen. My concern is having children if backing up and the screen momentarily blanks out I lose rear backup camera vision causing a potentially fatal catastrophe. The dealer said they are unable to resolve the issue at this time. The vehicle started doing this with less than 20miles on it and now with approximately 300 miles on it the issue continues. I am concerned that a fatal accident could occur. I respectfully request this issue be resolved and advocate on behalf of the consumer for GM to fix this issue. Thank you very much!
