The contact owns a 2020 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. The contact stated that while driving approximately 75 MPH, the rear tailgate door erroneously opened. The contact stated that the failure had occurred on 4 separate occasions and items had fallen from the vehicle while in motion. The cause of the failure was not yet determined. The local dealer and manufacturer were notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 40,000.
