Silverado 1500

The contact owns a 2020 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, the trailer disconnected from the tow hitch. Additionally, the trailer brake warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer and brake switch was replaced; however, the failure recurred. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact related the failure to GM PIT: 5948A. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 2,000.
