Silverado 1500 Custom 4.3L V6

(Said in my best Forrest Gump voice) One day, for no particular reason, my radio display just started blinking. I tried resetting it, but it just kept right on blinking. I tried turning the truck off and back on, but it just kept right on blinking. Heck, I even tried turning it all the way dark. It blinks all kinds of ways….slowly……fastly….. it even blinks when you back up.

But seriously, there is no reason for the display to blink. I didn’t do anything different. After it started blinking I unplugged the battery to try and reset the system, but that didn’t work. I saw somewhere that someone has a class action lawsuit against GM for the 7” display that are common in GM vehicles in 2019-2022. I have an appointment on 2/17/2023 at the dealership as the truck is still under warranty. Looking through forums, it seems like there is no fix for this. There are several people that have stated that GM even replaced the radio and display, but the same problem persisted. GM has to make this right!!!

Update from Feb 26, 2023: I took the vehicle to a local Chevrolet dealership. They replaced the radio which didn’t fix the problem. They ordered another part (unknown) and once installed fixed the problem. As of now, 2/25/2023 the display has ceased blinking.
