Silverado 1500 CX 4.3L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 5,300 miles

While I was about to get on the highway all lights came on for the brakes telling me top speed was 45 mph. So I immediately pulled off the highway and that 45 mph was not a joke - the truck only went to 45 mph traffic behind me was upset. After I pulled over, I called the dealer and they towed it back to the dealer's shop. I had just had the software update for the brakes and now this I had purchased this truck with 3700 miles on it.

I am told now the master cylinder will have to be replaced and I am looking at about 2 months and now with the corona-virus I think it could be longer. They did give me a truck to drive but it is not the same. I have read many reports about this very issue - I'm not sure why I could not have been told about this. The brakes are a serious issue for Chevrolet to not tell the customer. I am in love with my blue Silverado and want that truck back the ugly white 4 cylinder truck is horrible.
