So I bought this Chevy Silverado RST 1500 less then 6 months ago. I received a recall for the brake system, took it in and they kept it for a day. Picked up the truck, drove great. Started it up the next morning and “Brake Assist†and “dismissed “ popped up and gave a check engine light. They came out, picked up the truck, took it back to the shop and “fixed it.†Called me the next morning and dropped it off. The next day or so (I don’t drive it much, only 1800 miles on it!) I go to start it up and the check engine light is back on...
I’m so pissed off at Chevy for allowing their customers to drive these trucks off the lot KNOWING they had recalls and BRAKE PROBLEMS! If this problem isn’t fixed fast and some compensation for the stress and miles on my truck, I plan on using a lemon law attorney and getting full compensation. I’ve been a long time Chevy truck person, I’m done, f*** Chevrolet.

So this is my second time I’ve had the check engine light go off for the brake system. I received my truck back from Chevy, started it the next morning, “Brake assist†and “dismissed†flashes on the dash and the check engine light turns on. I’m extremely frustrated with Chevy and will call a lemon law attorney if I’m not fully compensated for what I paid for the truck.
