Starting back in June 2025 Loss of engine power multiple times. Many times almost hit from behind as I turned onto a highway. Found out vehicle had a stop sale recall at the time of purchase and I had issues with back right tire. Took truck to a tire shop and learned that the wheel was welded in many places and fracture was visible. Finally, got the dealership to pay attention in October to my concerns. They were going to allow me to trade the vehicle out for another one while paying off the bank but that-??s not what they did. They attempted the repair and tried to hand it back to me. 1/27/26 Was recently told this was corrected, and the sales person told me when he picked it up from shop he couldn-??t go more than 30 mph. Dealership management told him not to tell me. I am submitting this complaint for immediate review regarding Ruiz Ranch Motors (Spring Branch, TX) for an illegal vehicle sale, prolonged withholding of my vehicle, misrepresentation of a -??loaner-?? vehicle, and coercive threats involving law enforcement. This matter involves ongoing safety risks, financial harm, and improper dealer conduct affecting both myself and my minor child. Summary of Key Facts (Concise): -?? On June 25, 2025, I purchased a 2021 Chevrolet Silverado (VIN 1GCUYHET7MZ155657) from Ruiz Ranch Motors, financed through Ally Financial. -?? The vehicle was subject to a GM Stop-Sale / No-Sale Safety Recall (NHTSA 24V797000) at or around the time of sale. -?? I repeatedly raised safety concerns beginning shortly after purchase. These concerns were dismissed for months. -?? In November, Ruiz Ranch Motors took possession of my 2021 Silverado under the representation that they were -??working on trade numbers-?? and a solution to correct the experience. Misrepresented -??Loaner / Trade-?? Vehicle: -?? I was provided a 2023 Chevrolet Silverado, represented as a potential trade option, no trade was made (only dealership delay) this vehicle now has a engine light and no cooperation from dealership

We were driving 40 mph when all the sudden the rear tires locked up without warning. We almost got in an accident and thankfully were able to get off the road. Then, the check engine light came on and the truck went into limp mode and would not shift gears automatically and it was difficult to make it home. We had a mechanic come to our house to run a diagnostic and they informed us of the recall and confirmed it is what the truck was experiencing. We took it to the dealership and they confirmed the recall and that there was no available fix and nothing they could do for us. Meanwhile, ours is not safe to drive.

I purchased a used 2021 Chevrolet Silverado from a dealership 5 months ago. Almost immediately after purchasing the truck, I would hear and feel an intermittent pop that originated from near the floor of the front passenger side. The sound became more frequent and would happen mostly when making sharp turns but also when making softer turns. I took it to the dealership to investigate. They had it for a week and supposedly examined the entire vehicle. They were able to replicate the pop sound when driving it but were unable to diagnose the problem. They claimed that sometimes trucks just make noise and assured me that the vehicle was safe to drive. I asked how they knew it was safe if they didn't know what the problem was and how was I to know that whatever is causing the sound isn't causing internal damage. The service manager again assured me that the certified mechanics looked at every detail of the vehicle and found nothing to be concerned about and sent me on my way. After taking the truck home, I continued normal use of the truck, taking it on 3 long distance trips on the highway. The sound continued as it had before, occurring intermittently when turning. 2 days ago, I was backing out of my driveway. I heard a very loud pop and got out of the vehicle to find that the front passenger wheel had completely broken at the ball joint of the control arm and was lying nearly flat on the ground, held suspended by the brake line and CV boot and other attached components. The truck was towed to the dealership, where it currently is. The service manager told me that the mechanics did everything that they were supposed to have done and that unfortunately this is a mechanical part that can fail and that he has seen this issue in 7-8 other vehicles like mine. If this is a common problem, there should have been a red flag when presented with this issue. If this would have occurred on the highway at a high rate of speed, my family and I could have been killed.

There is a current recall on this type of vehicle because the spare tire is not the correct size for the vehicle. This is recall #N212346510. Unfortunately, my specific vehicle is not included in that recall for some unknown reason. I experienced a flat tire, road service came and replaced with the spare which is too small for the vehicle, and I was only able to travel to a tire dealership in order to have the original tire repaired and placed back on the vehicle. I still have the wrong size spare even though there is an open recall for this problem. The dealership will not replace the spare without manufacturer recall one my specific vehicle VIN and/or direction to complete the exchange from the manufacturer. Evidently, only a certain percentage of the effected vehicles were recalled. That hardly seems safe. This problem can lead to issues with the brake system if a car uses the wrong size spare. How do I get my specific vehicle added to this recall in order to have the needed service? Please advise. Thank you.

The contact owns a 2021 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. The contact stated that while driving at 50 MPH, the brake pedal was depressed as he began to approach traffic on the highway. As the contact began to steer the vehicle to the left, the entire front driver side wheel assembly detached from the vehicle without warning. Once the vehicle hit the ground, the driver and passenger-side air bags deployed and the contact hit the vehicle in front of him as he lost control of the vehicle. The contact was able to steer the vehicle off the highway and onto the left shoulder, the side curtain airbags then deployed as the vehicle came to a complete stop. Due to the failure, the brake line broke and spewed brake fluid throughout the engine and onto the road which resulted in an engine fire. The authorities were called to the scene and were able to extinguish the fire. A police report was filed. The contact did not seek medical attention at the scene but did treat himself for a scrape to the head once he returned home. The vehicle was towed to his home where it remained in his possession. The dealer was notified of the failure and he sent them pictures of the damaged vehicle. The manufacturer had yet to be notified of the failure. The vehicle had yet to be repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 1,100.
