I complained to dealer since the purchase of vehicle about a noise and feel in the steering wheel like something was loose when driving slow over a rough road. After 2 years and approaching the end of my warranty I convinced the mechanic to change out the rack-N-pinion steering unit. Problem fixed and drives like a new truck.

Silverado 1500 Hybrid 8-cyl

Felt like the power steering was not working while making a left turn, which made it very hard to turn the steering wheel when making a turn at low speed. This occurred when the truck was les than 6,000 miles out of warranty. Took to dealer who said that the rack and penion was bad. They contacted the factiry rep. Who covered the part and I paid for the labor.
