The contact owns a 2006 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. The contact stated that the passenger side of the vehicle would blow hot air from the vents and the driver's side vents would blow cold air. The contact took the vehicle to the dealer and was told that the heating and air unit actuator needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was unknown and the current mileage was 69,000.

The blower motor fan for the heat and A/C the wire connectors towards the passenger side under the dash glove box the wire is melting which is causing the fan not to work sometimes and you can smell it melting ( its the male and female connectors ) they plug into each other that's where its at. My truck is a 2006 Chevy Silverado ext.cab its gonna end up catching the truck on fire. Something needs to be done its GM responsibility to fix the problem.

Blower fan for heat and A/C stopped working. Replaced resistor assembly and it worked for about three days.checked to see what was the matter and saw that the connection had melted.
