coming out of new jersey inspection station brake pedal going to the floor.Stoped at gas station brake fluid onground master cylinder was empty.Inspection station passed the brakes,All brake lines were rusted out , and were replaced.

I had my brake lines rupture on my way home from work yesterday, and luckily one of the rear brakes still worked a little bit so that I could stop the truck. I have heard many complaints about this on this type of chevy trucks, I would think that Chevy would recall this being that it is such a huge safety issue. Let me know if any one else has heard anything about a recall on this issue.

At 16,000 miles I had to replace all the rotors, etc. as they were pitted and corroded beyond any usefulness. NOW AT 25,000 MILES, the brake lines ruptured - luckily I was in my driveway at the time, having just returned from a short trip and noticed something leaking from the undercarriage. When I crawled under and saw the brake ilnes all corroded, etc. I realized it was brake fluid. Later I depressed the pedal to see if it would leak more and that's when the pedal went to the floor and the pressure released. The whole undercarriage is nothing but rust. I would never buy another one. The cost to benefit ratio is off the charts.

brakes lines need to be inside some type protective outer covering. my 1973 bmw has better protection!

The line to the back brakes failed. Its about 20 feet long and ties into the ABS gadget. WHICH IS IMPOSSIBLE TO GET TO ! Being this truck is rusting apart despite everybody liking the way this truck looks and drives as well as the fact it has the Vortech engine it it, WHY THEN, IS EVERYTHING IMPORTANT TO IT, NON- SERVICEABLE ?
