While parked on the street, locked and not in use for 7 days, a fire apparently started in the windshield wiper motor. It was significantly damaged and spread to the right front wheel well and left front bumper cowling, before it was put out with a fire extinguisher. The GM investigator has indicated that it is their determination that the problem started external to the vehicle.
