Silverado 2500

  • 80,000 miles
The ABS on my 2006 Silverado activates on low speed stops on dry pavement causing the brakes to release. It is not the typical ABS action that most people are familiar with, where the brakes release and apply - it is the brakes releasing and not reapplying under pressure, while foot is on brake. I have gone through an intersection while towing a horse trailer and had many near-miss incidents coming into toll booths, stop signs and red lights. Have almost rear-ended vehicles because of this. This needs to be a recall item. It is dangerous, very expensive to fix and prone to happen again once fixed.
