30 minutes after ignition turned off and parked after driving in 4-wheel down a 1/2 mile snowy driveway, my 2007 Silverado duramax 2500hd pick-up truck was totally engulfed in flames and burned to a crisp. Forensic fire inspector said it started in front right engine compartment; no arson. Fire department put it out; police report said no arson.

The entire vehicle is also very difficult to keep on the road. The front tires made a clunking noise whenever the vehicle was driven. The vehicle has Bridgestone duravis M7732 tires, size 245/75/R16. There is a clunking noise under the hood, which can be felt in the steering wheel while driving. The engine also hesitates while driving. A mechanic and the dealer performed a diagnostic. The failure mileage was 33,000 and current mileage was 40,000.
