rust underneath bed over exhaust
Was maintaining my truck and happened to climb underneath to check some things and lube up the grease fittings , and low and behold every bed rail that mounts the bed to the frame was covered in rust. Now the rust was only over the exhaust pipe. So I went into detective mode and every truck that came into my inspection station I would look. I saw that every truck was the same as mine. I notified the owners and proceeded to take mine to the dealer. Oh and I also called and emailed Chevy stating my displeasure. The dealer took my truck in for the repair which was covered under the 6 yr / 100,000 warranty still. So the dealer drove my truck across the state of nj to the other shop n then sprayed the underside of the bed with por15. Obviously it was not done right due to the fact that everything they sprayed on it has peeled off within a 2 yr period.

got more rust on wheel well in between the side bed panels
So not only did the bed fix not work but now I'm currently fighting with Chevy over the rust behind the clear coat and paint over the pass side wheel well. Again same side as rust over exhaust. After a quick inspection I found that the rust is in between the 2 panels the make up the bed side and wheel well. Unsure of how to get in there but I did find some (3) rubber grommets inside the well. Didn't pull them out. If Chevy was gonna screw us all by charging $50,000 for these things maybe they should have used recycled soda cans. At least the aluminum would last a little longer. I'll try to update on this matter as I called the dealer twice today and no response. I'm gonna just show up and have at it tomorrow .
