We could hear the truck making a grinding noise as we slowed for a stop sign. When we looked, the whole brake pad was missing from the drivers side rear brakes. This caused extensive damage to the rotor. We have since replaced the rear brake pads several times but the front brakes have not been replaced a single time.

Service trailer brake system message came on. Next day Chevy found "circuits rubbing on bracket... repaired, covered harness with conduit..repositioned away from E-brake..." dealer found Chevy doc#2491825 that warns the dealership of "wiring chaff concern ear the E-brake pedal" but no notice was sent to owners. Truck manual on page 3-37 says to take it to a dealer if the message remains on after the ignition is cycled on and off. Message did not return, but took in anyway. Chevy dealer said computer records show this condition was detected a number of times but we received only one single message on the digital information center. A brake system failure while rv or commercial towing downhill or on wet roads could lead to catastrophic results-owners should be notified and affected vehicles inspected.
