Current recall is out for 2014-2017 Chevy Silverado 1500 series but not the 2500 models with the same issue (i know, HUH?). Had it in for service, where they did the same fix recommended on the recall for F1500 which was reprogram the system. Had no effect at all. This truck is dangerous to drive as pedal will go to the floor occasionally when trying to stop at a red light etc. Panic stops, as in someone pulling out in front of you... better get on that parking brake.
Local dealer is kinda limited to what they can do. Guess not enough enough people have died yet. I am about to put it in shop, replace vacuum pump or whatever the issue is, at my own expense. Issue only appeared in the last 5,000 miles but it's the same system on all GM vehicles. GM is trying to limit exposure to the issue by only recalling certain vehicles. Gonna save receipts and do what I have to do for reimbursement.
