Silverado 2500 LTZ 6.6L

My backup camera (all cameras for that matter) have suddenly stopped working. I have read that this happens if you take off the tailgate. I have NOT taken mine off. One moment it was working, 20 minutes later it wasn't. I push on the camera app on the dash but it does nothing.
