The consumer heard a loud noise from the rear of the vehicle at 40 miles per hour. The consumer looked back and noticed that the rear liftgate cable had snapped causing the liftgate to fall.

When the consumer let the tailgate down, the cable broke. The consumer went to the dealer to check to see if his vehicle was involved in the current recall. The consumers vehicle was not included in the recall. Recall# 04E022000.
