The ABS motor failed and needs to be replaced. The motor itself costs almost $800. More than 90% of my miles are highway miles. At my 40,000 mile brake check, the technician said I was only 30% into my original brake pads. I have heard of numerous failures of this component from other Silverado owners. This is an important safety feature of this truck and it should be recalled and repaired by the manufacturer. My brake warning system is now disabled until this ABS motor is replaced.

Contacted dealer and they claimed this was an unheard of failure. After reading other reports on your website for the same problem with this truck I find that hard to believe. With as many failures as you have there should be a recall and repairs done at manufactures expense.
