The contact owns a 2000 Chevrolet Silverado Z71 pick up truck. The driver was traveling 7 mph when he tried to step on the brake pedal and he heard a rumbling sound. The driver stated that his vehicle would not stop. The driver had to put the truck in neutral and pull the emergency brake in order to stop the vehicle. The driver also stated that he had to jerk the wheel to keep from hitting a tree. The contact also stated that the climate control does not work properly. The defrost takes an hour to work. He contacted the dealer about the failure and the dealer stated that it is suppose to work that way. The driver also stated that the fwd indicator malfunctioned. When he spoke with the dealer they said it needed to be replaced. The failure mileage was 114,000. The current mileage was 114,100.

The failure is related to NHTSA campaign id number 06E043000 (fuel system, gasoline). The failure mileage was 112,000 and current mileage was 192,000.
