The contact owns a 2007 Chevrolet Silverado lt. The contact stated the throttle would stick anytime he attempted to release the pedal. The vehicle slows down very slowly. The engine continues to run at 800-100 RPM's until the brake is applied to stop the vehicle. The consumer also stated while stopped at a traffic light or a stop sign, the engine would occasionally speed up to approximately 1800 RPM's. the consumer also stated a new engine was installed on April 11, 2001 due to a faulty oil pump. The throttle body and engine control module were replaced twice, the hbac control module, oil deflector, purge valve and canister, maf sensor, wiring harness, speed sensor, CO2 sensor, 175 amp fuse box, transmission control module and under hood wiring were all replaced. An engineer from General Motors has worked on this vehicle at all three dealerships and has not been able to repair the problem. The manufacturer was contacted and they offered little assistance. The contact owns a 2007 Chevrolet Silverado. The contact was traveling 30 mph on a two lane road when the accelerator pedal was engaged, when the gas pedal was released the vehicle continued to accelerate. The speed increased up to 80 mph before the vehicle would stop. The accelerator pedal appeared to be stuck causing the contact to turn the vehicle off; however, the vehicle continued to accelerate. The contact turned the vehicle back on and off again before it began coasting to a stop. The contact took the vehicle into the dealer and was told that they were unable to diagnose the failure. When the contact drove the vehicle home, the ABS light came on. The failure and current mileages were 8900.

The contact owns a 2007 Chevrolet Silverado 3500. The contact stated that when driving at any speed with an rv trailer hooked on, the vehicle would lose power. The vehicle would go from 60 mph to 10 mph. The fuel rail pressure was too low, the engine power reduced and warning lights illuminated on the dashboard when the failure occurred. The vehicle had been inspected at five different dealerships, but the cause for the failure could not be determined. The failure mileage was approximately 50,000. The current mileage was approximately 300,000.
