Came to a stop at top of exit ramp truck continued to roll backwards brake light and ABS light came on, truck beeped three times coming up ramp, hit excellerator and truck engine did not respond. Hit emergency brake. Put truck in park and turn off ignition. Truck refused to start. Extremely dangerous stop to cut off as tractor trailer we're coming off interstate behind me full speed to truck stop (before this incident the truck had driven completely fine on a 60 mile drive all interstate except for maybe three miles. ). truck is still at the mechanic as they can not get truck started. Its been a week.

2013 Chevrolet Silverado K3500hd ltz crewcab 6.6L duramax : engine regularly fails to start. Since acquiring this pre-owned truck in June 2017 I have experienced three instances where the engine turns over while attempting to start but fails to do so. In all cases the attempt to start was made after the vehicle sat outside overnight. Vehicle was oriented with a slight uphill (5 degrees) nose up attitude. Battery (there are 2) condition tested well within specifications for state of charge, voltage and amperage. After having the truck towed to various service facilities none could find a cause for the no start condition. In every instance the truck would restart after having sat for a number of days. Prior to these incidents there have been also been an equal number of loud drive train noises when making a left turn from a standstill onto the highway. After entering the highway the vehicle performed normally except it was immediately followed by what can only be described as a hesitation/stumbling when accelerating moderately. None of these described conditions have been accompanied but any warning tones or mil indicators on the dashboard. Vehicle currently has approx. 209,000 miles and was originally sold new in 2013 and driven in Texas before being brought to Connecticut in Jan 2017 from where I purchased it.

I have now had my Chevy 2013 Silverado in for oil consumption tests for the last 3 months and it has failed them. When I first brought it in I was told that they would replace the piston rings. When it finally failed they are now saying the are only replacing the head gasket and the rocker arms. Neither one of these have anything to do with my truck burning oil. This is the second vehicle I have owned that has has issues burning oil the first one they told me that it was normal for it to burn oil. They need to do what they originally told me and replace the piston rings. What happens if this engine goes while I am going down the highway

On another occasion, the cam shaft position sensor needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired both times. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 33,000.

On acceleration from a stop, the RPM's race while shifting. Vehicle acts as if the transmission is slipping from 1-2. early in the life of the vehicle I thought this was only something that happened the first time shifting after pulling out of the garage however, as the truck gets more miles on it, the problem happens more often and when taking off from stops when hot. Vehicle was brought to dealer to diagnose complaint and was told there was a bulletin to address this problem but since the tech couldn't verify it, they didn't do anything. Dealer said I have a good powertrain warranty so if something breaks later I should be covered. Not only is this unprofessional and poor customer service, they literally did nothing to attempt to diagnose or confirm the problem. There seems to be numerous complaints on this site related to RPM racing complaints.

I have a concern about the 5.3 liter engine in my 2013 Chevy Silverado. I am encountering piston slap for up to 5 minutes when starting vehicle. I have contacted GM multiple times, and I have had the piston slap noise documented at roy robinson Chevrolet in marysville wa. I am attempting to get my defective engine replaced under warranty, but GM does not seem to care. I am concerned one of the pistons could fail, causing engine failure, putting myself or a family member in a fatal situation. I believe this issue is important to have documented. Any assistance would be appreciated. Thank you
