The engine block heater cord was recalled on my 2017 Chevy duramax diesel. I brought my truck to my local dealership on August 21, 2019 for the recall and the cord was simply cut off. At that time there was not a remedy for the recall. I called Chevrolet customer assistance today, November 12, 2019, to check on this recall as the temperature in Kansas is becoming very cold and I am needing the engine block heater. I spoke with sabrina and her supervisor michael who both informed me the new engine block heater cord has been released to cold weather states, not Kansas. The only way for me to get the cord for my truck would be to drive to Colorado, the closest state to Kansas that the cord has been released to. Colorado is over 8 hours from me, not to mention the temperature is currently colder in Kansas than Colorado. This is just very frustrating, I paid for the engine block heater on my truck so I can use it. I got notice of this recall in may of 2019, now it's November with very cold weather and the issue has not been resolved.

Silverado 3500

Engine hesitation, or misfiring. Jerking, or transmission shuttering when engine is at low RPM and on incline. (I.e. when traveling about 45mph and start up a hill, the RPM's are about 1300, and the transmission doesn't gear down, so it starts shuttering until you give it more acceleration than usual.) after dealing with this issue for nearly 8 months and 15K miles, I believe this safety issue should be recalled. Dealer originally acknowledge the problem but was unsure of the cause. After 5 repair attempts the dealer say they can't duplicate and the vehicle performs as designed.

Silverado 3500

With approximately 7800 miles on it, my vehicle was in motion and I was crossing a highway when the engine started to stutter and lost power. I was almost hit by an oncoming semi while crossing the road. I narrowly missed getting hit, the semi driver slammed on his brakes and honked at me as if I had done something wrong. I promptly pulled off to the side of the road, and noticed a check engine light. I brought it to my local shop where they had diagnosed it as a faulty lifter. This is a prevalent issue on many Chevrolet/GMC engines as there are technical service bulletins released on this. I have attached an older (2016) tech service bulletin, but there is an updated one with the following part number: 15-06-01-002F. I would like GM to step up and issue a recall on this as this is most definitely a safety concern.

In June of 2017, I bought a new Chevrolet Silverado. It runs great no problems. In November 2017 I called to make an appointment to have the oil changed. The service department told me that there is a recall on the chuggle drive quality. The service did what was needed to be done. I had to make a 5-hour trip up North when I noticed that my truck wasn't running like it was before the recall was done. I noticed that the transmission was shifting hard. When the cylinder deactivation went to 4 cylinders the engine lugs. Before the recall was done I couldn't tell when the cylinder activation was switching to 4 cylinders back to 8 cylinders it ran very smoothly no lugging of the engine. What concerns me now is when I was driving an went to make a left turn at slow speed the transmission downshifted hard where the back wheels locked up. Went through a drive through after I placed the order proceeded to the window my truck lunged forward from first gear to second gear. I am glad that no one was in front of me. I have taken it to the service department at the dealership several times. Was told nothing was wrong no codes came up. Even called GM got nowhere with them. The chuggle drive is a reprogramming of the transmission control module. GM trying to fix one problem created another problem. I pull a 5000-pound camper with this truck with the issues I am having now with the transmission shifting hard and engine lugging I am afraid it might cause me to have an accident. My truck ran perfectly before the chuggle drive quality recall was done. The recall has to be the problem. It's not a good fix.

Noticed after purchase that there is vibration like a bad tire 35-42 mph. Vibration felt in seat, console and steering wheel 58-65 mph. Transmission down shifts hard sometimes feels like being bumped from behind, it also hesitates and jerks after letting off the accelerator and accelerating again between 25-45 mph. When accelerating it surges, jerks and stumbles. Sometimes when accelerating the transmission downshifts and hangs in that gear until you let off the accelerator. Under heavy acceleration there is vibration in the power train and the transmission seem noisy. At 25 mph it shutters like the transmission is in to high of a gear under light acceleration. Returned to waldorf Chevrolet where I purchased it and was told they balanced 2 tires and reset the road force, scanned transmission no codes transmission ok after shop foreman road tested for 21 miles no other repairs needed. Picked it up driving home noticed all the problems were still there and after inspection of my wheels noticed that the wheels were balanced still had the old weights still on the wheels with new weights also. Made another appointment this time to have shop foreman (rick) ride with me to show him what it was doing which we did and left my truck again. After 8 days I am told it was ready I was told they did a pico scope test and the driveshaft was being replaced then only tested it was ok. Checked run out on flanges all within specs. Found the right rear tire bad. They put steel wheel from another truck on and road tested with no change. They drove another truck and it rides the same. Even has the shutters on hard acceleration. Said they called GM tac back and they don't see a problem with this. Written documents be sent via mail. Made another appointment
