The 2012 Sonic has no temperature gauge and when the warning light came on the car's engine was already overheated and caused damage to the engine head. Chevrolet Israel replaced the defective water pump under warranty but refused to check the engine for damage. Only when my warranty expired and I complained of continuous coolant loss did they open the engine. It cost me $2000 for repairs to the engine head. No more Chevy's in my future plans.
