So its New England and its December, and my 2013 Sonic has no heat. I'm up to date on service, my coolant levels appear to be fine, and just last year a coolant line blew out and i had to pay for that one out of pocket. so id assume the coolant should still all be there if they did there job correctly. So with that being said, why on earth does my car not get hot. or even warm?

2013 Sonic. Last winter engine light came on when it got cold out. I live in Louisiana so it doesn't get very cold very often. Was still under warranty and they fixed it. Something about temp control, changed something electrical, I don't recall what it was exactly. Only reason I took it in was because the engine light when on stops the remote start feature. This fall the light came on briefly then went off. Next time I try to turn the heat on I have NO hot air. Like it's AC cold. I start looking for solutions. Check fuses, flick buttons seeing if I can hear it actually transition / flip over, and then I look online and see this is a frequent problem! Well a cold front is moving in this week. Like below freezing which is rarely is here. I called the dealer Bryan Chevrolet in Metairie and they surprise me with bring it in and we will look at it. I'm like Now? Sure. Take it in and they said they would look at it in the morning and give me a call. There is of course a $120 diagnosis fee that is waived if repairs are completed. OK. Get it looked at and call me. I'm a home health nurse. I DRIVE ALL DAY. Morning comes and no call. 10:45 am I call them and can't get a person in the service center to answer, goes back to main operator, she transfers me to a line and I leave a message. No call back. Call again. Leave a sh*tty message on a second person's voice mail this time about no one calling me back. Finally call back at 1:47 pm from 1st person VM left. States it is next in the queue. Says that they are dealing with a lot of "big jobs" and may have diagnostics done later today but possibly hold over to tomorrow (saturday) and they run a skeleton crew. At latest, Monday. I'm like WTF?!?!? No that is not going to work for me. I'll need to pick up the car today. He says he'll call back by 3pm. Well is 3:30 pm and I called again, got no answer in the service dept again, bounced back to main operator, got sent to a 3 voicemail, and left a pretty sh*tty tense message (no cursing) stating to call me back ASAP, and I am waiting! What. The. F*ck?!?!?!?! They have had the car for 24 hours and haven't diagnosed and don't seem to have anyone to answer a phone and tell me what the hell is going on. Pretty sure I am never going to use Bryan Chevrolet in Metairie, LA again at this point.! And I see heater failure is a common problem by all the reports online about heater failure! And I don't even live in a cold climate so it's not like I've worn the heater core out. IT'S A MANUFACTURING PROBLEM!. No recalls on it, of course! How many complaints does it take to get recalled? Do people have to die to get recalls put in effect?
