I was driving and smelled something burning. Thought it was engine related, but when I looked around, I saw smoke from rear defroster. When I pulled over, the rear window shattered. I reported this to the dealer and they said they could do nothing because they have never heard of such a problem. I filed a Product Assistance Claim. They have been trying everything in their power to avoid looking into this. They are trying to lengthen the process so as to make me go away. I told them that if all I wanted was the new glass, I would have just called my insurance, paid my deductible and be done. But, there is the issue with the defroster that nobody wants to address. I would think a large corporation would put the customer as a priority and show that they want continued business. Apparently not. I purchased multiple warranties to cover even an issue like this, but their lack of trust, keeps the warranty invalid. Warranty will not cover if the dealer will not sign off.
