Yeah - this is our third brake failure on this vehicle while in motion. It's trying to kill us I think. We are so lucky that we are still alive. It's the same thing each time: "service StabiliTrac" warning, then "service Brake Assist" followed immediately by a complete brake failure.

There was a "service StabiliTrac" warning followed by a "service Brake Assist" warning. Immediately afterwards there was complete brake failure while in motion on a highway going 50-60 miles per hour. We are so lucky we weren't hurt.

Our brakes failed while in motion on a city street. Just out of the blue. The brake pedal went down to the floor.

I found out this seems to be a fairly common problem and unfortunately it was just after I got it from used car dealer and I didn't know about it. Lucky I got the aftermarket warranty, but I not sure if the dealer was going to fix it at his expense anyway. I usually can trigger it by pressing on the brake and I notice the pedal slowly goes to the floor and then triggers the fault. I also found on a forum that someone had it fixed by replacing the modulator valve but then 6 weeks later still had the issue occur again. They were thinking that it could happen in low temperatures and that would correlate with my issue. It seems like this should be a recall or at least the cause better understood since it could cause an accident if your brakes go hard to use when your not use to it etc.
