Suburban

  • 78,000 miles
The contact owns a 1995 Chevrolet Suburban 1500. The contact was driving down a mountain road at approximately 45-50 mph, approaching a turn. The vehicle was hitched to a boat trailer. When the brake pedal was engaged the vehicle would not slow down. The vehicle came to a stop within a half a mile after repeatedly engaging the brakes. The contact drove onto the emergency lane to unhitch the boat trailer from the vehicle, and resumed with caution. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who stated that both front rotors had broken in half. The vehicle was repaired. Also, on a separate occasion the brake line exhibited excessive rust with loss of pressure. The contact was in the process of repairing the vehicle. The failure mileage was 78,000.
