About These NHTSA Complaints:
The NHTSA is the US gov't agency tasked with vehicle safety. Complaints can be spread across multiple & redundant categories, & are not organized by problem. See the Back button — blue bar at the very top of the page — to explore more.
My 95 Chevrolet Suburban has alot of safety issues. The seatbelts do not work at all. We were involved in a crash and they did not lock and one of them actually broke I have 5 small children that have to be restrained with the seatbelts and their car seats wont stay put this vehicle has no latch system so no way to secure the car seats. I have looked and looked and am finding no recall on this issue but their are numerous complaints about it. Also the seat tracks on the drivers side and passengers side are broken and when stopping suddenly they pop really loud and the seat moves. Also the windshield wipers do not work properly they stop in the middle of the window or don't work at all. Also the front suspension has been replaced numerous times and I mean everything steering box tie rod ends you name it been replaced but the truck still wanders all over the road and keeps getting worse took it to mechanic and they are not finding anything wrong with it. It is not safe to drive anymore and I am not the only one with these same problems I think Chevy needs to start recalling some of these issues before someone gets killed.
