truck started to misfire. i would let it rest for a night and would be fine for a week or two. the car would start to stall while driving. after a month the truck began to get worse and worse. the truck finally broke down. it wouldn't even turnover,a nd then the battery died. the truck's timing sensor near the crank shaft wasn't working, and the mechanic's that gave me diagnostics told me it was my fuel pump, fuel lines, injectors, spark plugs, plug wires, timing chain, and distributor cap. they were trying to sneek all these parts and make me pay over 2500 dollars. i replaced the sensor, distributor cap, and spark plug wires. thr truck ran fine for another 1,000 miles, and now it's starting to act up again. i hate it and am getting rid of it for 500 dollars.

Vehicle normally runs great. But sometimes when on the hwy using cruise control (60-70 MPH) and going uphill, the car will miss/roughness. It only lasted a couple of seconds ( I disengage the cruise control), and I get a check engine light. "Miss in #4 cylinder". After driving an hour or two the check engine light goes out. I tried to duplicate the problem without using the cruise control, and I sometimes can get it to miss/roughness. But, I immediately let off and do not get a check engine light.
It recently had new plugs, dist cap & rotor.
Since the problem first occurred I swapped the #4 spark plug (it looked fine), and checked the plug wire to #4 cyl, everything was good. I have also tried different gas stations and used Lucus gas additive, with same results.
Normal driving around town is no problem, and the 1000 mile trip (interstate miles) I only had the problem once, but I could sometimes duplicate it by trying to pickup speed while going up hill. All other times it runs fine.
